Die, Workwear: Looking for a Shear Thing

I come across these things constantly in local thrift shops, so I’d check those first if you wanna buy one.

Falcon Garments have a [MTM Shearling DR](http://falcongarmentsco.com/product/dr-shearling/) that I’ve been drooling over for the last few months. Soon!

In the line of his final suggestion, if you’re not willing to break the bank to explore something shearling-adjacent, I bought the [Gap Sherpa-lined jacket](https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?vid=1&pid=363596012&searchText=sherpa-lined+icon+cord+jacket) this fall and I’m very fond of it (mine is a fair bit darker than the preview image shown on this site). It’s not quite as bulky or durable, but it’s surprisingly warm and layers well. I’ve gotten positive comments on it and it’s been my favorite recent buy.

Always wanted a real shearling. So damn expensive though.

Levi’s sells these. Usually great wuality

A couple of years ago I picked up a Prana Men’s ridgeline-you can see the jacket here (https://www.moosejaw.com/product/prana-men-s-ridgeland-jacket_10286193). I like the splash of color from the plaid on the top.

I live in CA and our weather is pretty mild, so that is as warm a jacket as I generally need, and that is only on the colder days of winter.

Just want to say that the skinhead documentary linked in the article is worth watching.
