Fashion month is over once again, so let’s talk about our favorite shows!
I’m always impartial to [Margiela](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bab535d48157121a828e33c/master/pass/KIM_0548.jpg). The [shoes](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bab73927faa9e2d8b754724/master/pass/_ARC0065.jpg) were [insane](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bab76364b31c82d2068422b/master/pass/_ARC0481.jpg), and I really dug this [pillow bag](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bab752047f0ae2f2f6d335f/master/pass/_ARC0589.jpg).November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11074
* I desperately want to see more yellow on the red carpet. Specifically: this [Brandon Maxwell dress](https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2019-ready-to-wear/brandon-maxwell/slideshow/collection#37), this [Pamella Roland gown](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5b91bab3284df27bef1f51ab/master/pass/_DSC2790.jpg), and this [Oscar de la Renta gown](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5b97d3fc727e71287c3cccaf/master/pass/_OSC0403.jpg).
* [J. Mendel’s whole collection](https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2019-ready-to-wear/j-mendel#collection) was so dreamy.
* Jason Wu has historically been hit-or-miss for me, but I’m a fan of [his rebranded collection](https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2019-ready-to-wear/grey-jason-wu#collection).November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11075
I wanted EVERYTHING De La Renta!!!November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11076
I really like all the voluminous pleated looks at [Valentino](https://www.vogue.co.uk/shows/spring-summer-2019-ready-to-wear/valentino/collection), like [this](https://vg-images.condecdn.net/image/Xm650NZNqnx/crop/810/f/_val0075.jpg), [this](https://vg-images.condecdn.net/image/oWkeBM72Qm8/crop/810/f/_val0235.jpg), and [this](https://vg-images.condecdn.net/image/bAMpnGrnbJX/crop/810/f/_val0581.jpg).November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11077
Margiela was awesome this season! Also big love to [Marc Jacobs](https://imgur.com/gallery/kO5OK83) – I’m living for this clown couture especially since Gigi Hadid wore it in those amazing Beetlejuice videos.
Also [Prada ](https://imgur.com/gallery/PyBDevp) is always my fav but this season was particularly excellent. Living and dying for the Rosemary’s baby vibes, bug eye shades, mod makeup, the headbands… I could keep going.November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11078
I always love the shows the big houses out on (Prada was probably the most fun for me to watch, with what manrepeller called the return of Cher Horowitz), but a lot of my favorite looks this cycle came from more obscure brands. I think Nanushka best captured my personal aesthetic and fashion aspiration for the coming season.
My absolute favorite part of SS19? Knowing that AW/resort 2018 is about to go on sale!!November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11079
I thought the Moschino show was so cute! The outfits all looked like fashion sketches that had been brought to life. I really didn’t care for last springs collection, which I thought was tacky with the tutus and Moto jackets, but this springs collection is so tasteful and fun!November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11080
I love love LOVED **Chanel’**s beach runway. I thought it was such a fun and playful set, and it seemed so experiential. I also always love Chanel’s callbacks to old looks with the [tweed outfits](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bb3871453154b2e33b50384/master/pass/KIM_2375.jpg) and[pastels](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bb38713a7793a2e4fa24885/master/pass/KIM_2317.jpg). I didn’t love everything – I personally thought some models looked really overstayed with the heavy jewelry, dark lips (not so beauty), and lots of accessories, but the general whimsy of the show was a win for me. I also liked this [white jumpsuit](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bb387246944202dae3a28e5/master/pass/KIM_3173.jpg) and this [ruffly dress,](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bb3871b13cb832d9a1b9a48/master/pass/KIM_2703.jpg)
I also liked **Givenchy**. The ode to older 30s silhouettes in the evening wear was interesting, and I always enjoy a show that plays with androgyny a bit. Loved this [blue top](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bb123ceaa0a712dc7350752/master/pass/_MON0555.jpg), this [black jacket](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bb1205c48157121a828ec19/master/pass/_MON0221.jpg), and [this silky dress](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5bb1229cfa37a22e04aa658f/master/pass/_MON0367.jpg).
**Things I didn’t like**:
**Celine** of course was a disappointment. The image of the brand totally shifted, and in a bad way I guess. It looked like a YSL show. I’m not digging Hedi Slimane at the helm…he really should start his own line rather than just go do whatever he wants while disrespecting the original image of the brand. He has a cool look, but it’s not very Celine.
The psychedelic **Balenciaga** runway threw me. I had trouble watching the fashion through the changing colorful backdrop. Also, just, I don’t love neon green and I don’t want to see it in any more shows.

Is John G still at Margiela?November 4, 2018 at 12:52 am #11082
Not a big designer, but I loved the [Jacquemus](https://www.vogue.com/fashion-shows/spring-2019-ready-to-wear/jacquemus) RTW collection. I thought it was a fun and slightly sexier take on some feminine classics. Nothing super groundbreaking, but I still enjoyed it.
